transparent images tutorial
Make your text (or an image) go from this:
To this:
1. Make a new document of whichever size you desire. MAKE SURE THE BACKGROUND IS WHITE Now go to your text tool and make sure your anti-alias is set to SMOOTH and create it as a FLOATING selection.
Your image should look like this:
2. Now copy the FLOATING SELECTION (press ctrl + C). Then erase that layer; Right click on the floating text layer and press DELETE. Or you can just press ctrl + Z.
3. Now paste the text as a new layer (press ctrl + V). Your layers should look like this:
4. Then you're going to to make the background layer transparent. Click on your background layer, just click on the little eye icon to the left to make it transparent.
5. Don't merge any of the layers! Finally go to FILE >> SAVE AS... and set the file type to PNG. This window will pop up, just click Yes.
And you're all done!:)
